My RZR annoys the fuck out of me.

I went mudding with a buddy. We rode around through a bunch of swamps / mud pits, had fun, then went back to the camp site.

The next morning my razor started acting up. It turns on fine, but as soon as I try to give it light throttle, it stalls out. When I nail the throttle pretty hard, it sputters and takes off while backfiring every 20 or so feet.

Keeping constant speed is not possible, the only thing I can do is accelerate with heavy throttle.

I replaced the throttle positioning sensor since RZR forums claim that may be the cause, but it didn't help anything.

See if you burnt out the plugs/ check the gap

Sounds like a clogged air filter to me. Since you were muddin it is a good possibility that water/mud mixture dried on your filter and restricting the air flow to the engine. Just take the air filter off and see if it runs better than replace it. Also if you have a K&M filter get rid of it for a 2 stage foam filter.

oh if it's not the air filter try draining the tank, replacing the fuel filter and running some fuel injector cleaner through the tank. Might be a clogged fuel injector. The spark plug (that Adam mentioned) is also a good thing to replace. Iridium plugs work really good in ATV motors.

Just make sure everything in the air box to the throttle body is really clean.

Air / fuel / spark if all good it should run (normally)

I forgot to mention that. The air filter is clean and there is no debris or sign of water anywhere in the intake tube up to the throttle body (can't see far past the TB due to bend)
