And before paying 350 bucks for a class on a parking lot, i would get a friend to let me borrow his bike and take the test on the dmv (very cheap or free idk)

The MSF classes are FREE. The fee is just to reserve a spot, then at the end of the class, as long as you pass, you have the option of a refund, or you can donate it to the MSF. After passing, you get your pink slip or whatever it is that you take to the Secretary of State's office and get your license, no other testing necessary.
I took this class and it was wayyy worth it. For me Illinois has recently changed its laws on riding without license. So 99% of people that used my TW have been riding a minimum of 4 years. Anyway topic. Take the course through the state real good class plus its walk in and out of the DMV no riding test there

This is how I did it, except I just walked in on the scheduled day since all the online spots were full.

The NIU classes. They do offer them at other community colleges as well. I know College of Lake County has them for NIU.
There were 7 walk ins during the weekend I took the class. You ride in rain or shine, and the weekend we went the weather was real iffy. Which is probably why there were 7 spots open.
