Basically a 1 lb off is equal to 8lbs of rotational mass equaling very good times

My lightning rims weigh about 32 lbs without tires with tires about 65 lbs wish I could knock off about 14 lbs a wheel rims set I could pick up 3 tenths in the 1/4

You will def gain on mpg and performance while getting a more aggressive look

^ I had noticed very slightly better MPG on my former TDI.. can only wonder if I'll notice more on this R because I only have 1700 miles (not even broken in yet for the most part)

...should feel lighter when I drive (hard to explain but I did notice that right away when I drove my TDI on these vs. factory stock FWIW)

These are 18" wheels (same exact size as factory stock). I have no interest in going bigger with less than 40 profile tires given our crappy roads along with the drive quality I'd be sacrificing in my daily driver.

BTW: 47 pounds for factory stock setup vs. 42 pounds for this setup (tires are 25 pounds each and wheels are 17 pounds each)

^ I saved 5 pounds per corner swapping to this wheel/tire setup. MPG is something that is changing on my car anyway as I reach better breakin. I still only have 1700 miles on my car right now. If you want to maximize wheel/tire weight savings, make sure to carefully pick your tires as well because in 225 40 18, the weight difference of just the tire I noticed varies from 19 to 27 pounds per tire when new depending on brand/model!
