Need a new DD, Could use some TCG ideas..

I'm looking for a new DD and am kinda stuck on what to get... I don't want to finance so I'm going cheaper. So I could use some suggestions or if there are any bored members, some prospects.

Criteria:
Budget is $5-6k
Would prefer a manual (a lot)
Something somewhat enjoyable to drive since I'll be getting rid of the Daytona
I'd like to avoid the typical auto, fwd's
No trucks or suv's

A backseat would probably be needed with some sort of trunk. But no, I don't need anything big.

Manual v6 Mazda 6's have been catching my eye and I like 3 series and have been looking at those too. Only problem I see with them is that at this price, they have a shit ton of miles on them and/or have been neglected... I may be wrong.

4 cylinder Mazda 6's are terrible; just not enough PAH. I got to drive one to denver for a friend and it was painful. V6 all the way.

They come in a weird hatch version that looks pretty much exactly like the sedan version.

E36-46 BMW 3 series, just check to see it's had its 90k done and you're good to go. I've been looking for one in a lower price bracket, if I see one I'll post it up.

not sure how many vehicles are going to be "low mileage" @ 6 k or so....without being very old.

perfect thing is to find some little old lady who has like 40k miles on a prestine vehicle.
chances of happeneing ? slim
