Default "Dry" oil-less air filters

is anyone using these? i am done with the k&n stuff. i oiled it as directed with a light amount of oil and it still managed to get all over my MAF.

who else makes them other than AEM and AMSoil?

I'm using the Amsoil dry flow ones in all my cars. I just shake them out then vacuum them.

I have heard good things about the AMSOIL Synthetic Nanofiber Air Filters. I hate oiled filters for the very reason as the OP mentioned.

+1 on reusable dry filters. The amsoil dry filters perform well and are much easier to clean/maintain. I was getting worried about oil slinging onto the MAF from my old K&N, so i switched.

Been using K&N's in both cars for years and never had any oil-on-the-MAF issues. I usually clean them anuualy and follow the re-oiling instructions carefully.

Are these Amsoil filters that much better?

I'd never trust a filter like a k&n you can see through (and not just light). I bet if you did an oil analysis your silica content would be huge.

I have an older K&N FIPK and I'm not sure what the filter size is.
Anyone have an idea how I could find the correct size Amsoil filter?

Measure the old filter then look at the chart that they have on the amsoil website

I have a spare AMSOIL Synthetic Nanofiber Air Filter if someone wants it for $20. Barely used (less than 3k miles), super clean. I'd use it, but it doesn't fit on the new inlet pipe for my turbo/MAF.

3" outlet (the side you connect to a hard pipe/MAF/etc.) short cone type.

I bought the amsoil air filter for the K&n fipk. It's not the exact same size but close enough. It a little shorter in length. I haven't installed it yet.

I don't know it off hand but you could go to K&N website first. They show all the exact measurements.

Good find. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Amsoil has a replacement filter for the FIPK. The K&N part number is RC-5046 and they have no matching filter.

I would say the EaAU6080 would be the filter you want. Only difference is its an inch shorter.
