trading/upgrading my GSX-R 750

Looking to trade up and upgrade from my 03 gixxer 750 to either an 08 GSX-R 1000 or a Hayabusa. I am not really a fan of the 07 and below hayabusa styling so an 08+ is in my sights. I have ridden 2 1k bikes and one hayabusa today on my lunch hour and I am super excited to step up to one of these two models. I was REALLY impressed in how well a 490 lb bike ( busa) still handled. It was no where near as bulky as I thought but I could bring my 750 down way more on a street turn but that's to be expected.

I realize now is the time to snatch up a bike because of the changing season and I basically have a co worker who wants to pay a good fair price on my 03' with 6k miles.

Has anybody ridden both a 1k and a 1300cc and have any feedback they have? I realize the busa is a pure speed rocket but I kinda love that. My 750 is strong but it truly crawls after 145mph and I am not a fan of it CONSTANTLY wheelie-ing even with me putting my 215lb frame forward. I really dont want to stretch or sprocket my currant bike because I want to keep it as stock as possible for retail purposes

if you buy a bus im going to smack the shit out of you. buy a 1k and ill show you why down on the cherohala skyway in NC.

If you really want to use the bike in the twisties, get the 1000. If you just like riding with occasional blasts to interstellar speeds on straightaways, get the Busa.

Either one is way more bike than most people need and should do well for you.

I had a busa and loved it. Like said above if you want twisties get the 1k. For cruising go Busa
