This is a setup we tried for the Castrol Top Shop Challenge.

A valve in the large turbo down pipe is kept closed to force exhaust though the small turbo getting it to spool quickly.

A valve in the large turbo intake tube is kept closed to keep the compressed air from the small turbo from escaping out the intake.

When the time is right, both valves are opened allowing the large turbo to take over and make the power. At that point, the small turbo kind of just freewheels due to lack of exhaust flow.

I'm not saying its not cool that they did it..but when you see a car with a single setup still performing faster..on an older chassis...
