alright so i have had my caddy listed on cars.com/chitownracing.com/craigslist for 6 weeks now.

started at 6999.

and changed it to 5999 obo about 4 weeks ago.

I have recieved maaaaaaybe 5 calls in that time. best offer, up until today was 4200bucks.

dude called today and offered 5200.

seriously tho. i have had this thing listed for 5999. i know the economy is in the shitter... but will demand rise again for this thing or...

what would you do? hold onto it... or take the 5300.

seriously this thing is worth 2-3k more if i put a bomb in it and make sure it doesnt come back limpin.

the thing is in great shape. what do i do.

i want to get rid of it because it gets 20 mpg for my mchenry-schaumburg commute lately, which is equating to like 65-70 bucks every 4 days.

just like that tho... i dont think people know how cheap these things are, and arent searching for them...

maybe i am trying to sell it incorrectly, i dont think many people are searching for 2001 devilles as they are not too popular of a car, but when told that most are under 6k... have heated seats front and rear, a v8, power eeeeeverything, and reverse sensors, they become more interested.

maybe i should put it out in front of my work (busy intersection) with a price and see what happens...

Not trying to offend you, my boss has an 00-01 Deville w/ 91k and is selling for 4k or atleast so he's been saying he would take for it. He had a warranty on it so anything he had a gripe about he had replaced or fixed (such as the notorious oil leaks).

IMO, they arent worth anything these days. Either blow it up or take the 5200.

I'd take the 5300 and run for sure if its burning oil that bad.

I would say people associate a Caddy with a big V8 and a lot of gas. With current gas conditions, a lot of people don't want to spend X amount of money on a V8. Perhaps that's why you have not sold it.

Take the money and run.
