Ok so spin off from the sunday convo thread to the track. I mentioned that I did not want to go 90+ due to having 3.69s and getting like single digit fuel econ lol... Turk made a comment that cars such as his BMW are made for speeds 150-180 (obviously I know that) and get "decent MPG" at those speeds. So not sure how that works. Is it some magical device that allows exotics and high-end cars to get better mpgs at really high speeds? I don't think its possible.
Not trying to call out anyone, but I can't seem to figure out why or how a car that probably gets worse gas mileage than my car at any given speed (even with my gearing) can get decent or better at speeds like 100+. I guess like I mentioned in the other thread its more on what your meaning of "decent" is LOL.
Anyone ever figured out what they get at like 70 and then at like 100? 150? 250? fwiw iirc the veyron's tires only last 15 mins at 25xmph top speed but the car burns gas so fast that it cant be at that top speed for more than 11 minutes before it runs out of fuel... always found that hilarious!
