Windshield Wiper Issue Toyota

Hello All-

Just a quick question. My GF's 2002 Toyota Avalon windshield wiper delay / intime wiper settings no longer works. Any position selected it just full speed, and if I turn them off where ever they are thats where they will stop, they no longer return to the base of the windshield. I am thinking that it might just be a relay.. Anyone have any ideas???

well if that problem was with a ford, it would probably be the whole control knob that goes all the way to the electrical connector by the steering wheel that you turn the wipers on with that goes bad once in a while (also the turn signal/high beam/wiper knob on fords) so it might be the same problem .... just my .02
