I was wondering if anyone on the forums has or knows someone with a duramax 2500 or 3500 4x4. I have been thinking of getting rid of my focus for one but was interested in the gas mileage. Every one i have talked to has claimed up to 20 mpg. but i find it hard to believe, if anyone has any input it would be appreciated.
Drive your dads F250 and see if you like it after a couple weeks of it, the chevy are a lil smaller and smoother ride. You can get around 16-18 city and 20 w/o having the turbo spool up but thats no fun.
you'll be impressed... 16 and up city and 20 and up highway... Stray away from the LB7, you'll want the LLY of LBZ.. LB7 has way too many injector problems. I have relpaced numerous sets in the same truck....
You also get the Allison trans, which you may want an earlier Duramax if you think a PTO output would be a desireable option, if PTO is not important, then get whatever year you can get the best deal on.
