BAM! last plug was COVERED in oil....

02 sensor is bad, we knew that, thought maybe plugs were fouled since it was idleing rough and backfiring, but the first cylinder's plug was covered...any ideas as to what it might be? Shot rings? Cracked Block? it blew some oily smoke when we started it up outa the throttle body too afterwards...

Lower intake manifolds suck on those cars...generally they need to be replaced, then a short while after the gasket is replaced the head gaskets go since it's the next weakest point.

imo the car is one big clusterfuck of oil leaks...even a small ammount of coolant has been seen...

But she has like no money towards this car, she got it at auction for like $900 and had about $2k worth of repairs done to it immediately....stuuuupid...could have bought a deicent used GP for that price and what she has to spend now

is it the 3.4??, those blocks are known for intake manifold gaskets to leak,
it could be allot of things, you could put the ecotec in there, i never had one problem with mine
check out aleromod.com, you will see the problems with the 3.4
