This looks a lot better than the current 3 series. The new design evolution looks great in person. The new 5 series have grown on me. My friend had one (535) as a loaner though and said the electronic steering was numb and the car was boring. He said that his E60 535i drove better. I hope they didn't mess the steering up in the 3.

I hated it at first and then I saw it again and hated it less. Then I started liking it and now every time I see it I like it more. They're going to sell an assload of them. It's a good looking car and just different enough from the current car while still progressing the line.

It's much better than the 5 & 7 series which both took a step backwards. I'd take an E60 over an F10 any day of the week.

I liked the E60 better when I saw the F10 in pictures, but I've seen a few new 5 series on the road and my friend had one for a few days. The design grows on you.
The interior... 10 times better but the outside, just doesn't float my boat. I see them on the road and they're not growing on me at all.

It is nice to see they're finally putting nice looking interiors in these cars though. My E60 is one notch above my Grand Prix's interior though with the build quality of my Audi. Still, it just looks cheap.

What kind of E60? I'd honestly get your vision checked if you think it's one notch above a GP:rofl:

While it's no Audi, it's clearly about even a Cadillac. My dad's 545i interior was built well and had good quality materials, just the layout and design didn't mesh well. Audi does a much better job and is the benchmark in interiors.

the Audi's have a nice shiny and blingy quality interior. The bmw stuff is more subtle which is what I like more. I had a g37 and thought the interior was trying far too hard and similar to my thoughts of Audi's however different strokes for different folks

x2, the materials are great quality and it is supposed to be subtle, I like bmw interiors too, audi is a little too flashy for my tastes

MB and bmw are in the same league

I don't mean it's a notch above the interior as far as quality is concerned; I mean as far as looks are concerned but yeah, slight exaggeration. I don't mind the way it looks. I just don't see a $60,000 car and think of my 550's interior. Quality is top notch though. No complaints there and for how the car drives, it can have a 1970's Cadillac interior and I wouldn't much care.

My other car is an A8 though so I'm spoiled. The interior on the D3 A8's is bar none the best interior I've sat in in a mass produced luxury car. Now that I think of it, Audi's the same way. The A6 interior is quite a step down from the A8. You're getting a lot more plastic, a much cheaper looking dash, etc. It's nice to see that these guys are finally realizing that some people want the interior of the flagship car without actually buying the flagship car.

I think Audi interiors are very modern looking an precise....like a fine watch. BMW is in my opinion behind Audi in interior design and refinement. Plus I've always hated I-Drive and I cannot stand the new joystick lever that they are putting in all of their vehicles.

I had all the techno do-dads and crap in my g37. I actually hated all that tech that I never used. I specifically bought my bummer with non of that crap in it. I hardly ever need nav and I I do I just figure it out. Me likes the bare essentials.
