The Chevrolet Camaro is a quintessentially modern pony car with a big engine and independent rear suspension. Too much and not enough for one lunatic Canadian who spent $320,000 converting one to a 1400HP, solid-axle drag-racing monster.

Serge Leger is from New Brunswick, Canada. He likes Camaros. He likes going very, very fast. To satisfy his needs he took a brand new Camaro to a speeds shop and told them "go." $320,000 and 3800 man hours later, the result is probably the most powerful Camaro on the planet.

First thing to go was the puny 6.0-liter V8, in its place a built-to-the-hilt 454 cubic-inch LSX fitted with a huge Turbonetics 91 m turbo and 6-inch intercooler. Next, that boring independent rear end was tossed in the dumpster in favor of a study solid axle and ladder bar suspension. After that, well, shoot, a whole list of goodies, check it out:

Trailer queen? Yeah, maybe. But with 1400 HP and 900 lb-ft of torque on tap, you wouldn't really want to drive it on the street anyway. [Camaro5]
