One person was killed on I-90 this morning after a pick-up truck collided with a semi truck at about 7:30 a.m., Illinois State Police officials said this morning.
Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Thomas Gartner said the collision happened on the Jane Addams Tollway just west of Randall Road.
He said initial reports are the semi was parked on the shoulder of the westbound lanes and the pick-up hit the semi. However, he said, the accident remains under investigation.
He said one lane was closed early on, but both lanes have been reopened.
He said there is no information regarding the driver of the pick-up, but no one in the semi was injured in the crash.
He said Kane County Coroner officials are on the scene.
