Oh it only had 700ft lbs though. They detune them for reliability or something?

Honestly, not sure what their thought process was with it.

Do they use a C channel frame because they don't know what everyone is going to mount on it?

All truck bodies usually sit on top of the frame. C-channel is the norm with heavy duty trucks.

I think most duramax medium duty trucks from GM have been detuned in the past compared to their 3/4 and one ton counterparts.

Correct. All makes do this. 6.7 Powerstroke cab chassis is 350/700 vs 440/860 and cummins is 300/600 with G56 and 350/700ish with automatic.

It's because everyone I know that's in one of those trucks loaded up just flat foots it everywhere lol.

I actually think they look pretty good... I'm definately in to buy this for $9,000 in eight years at auction.
