Just trying to give some credibility to the 3.0 going into the Explorer (as already mentioned, it was previously touted as a Lincoln only motor) and that the new platform is rear wheel.

Might as well buy a Lincoln to be honest. It's a nicer looking car and has a more luxurious interior. Lincoln has back to back home runs with the Navi and Aviator.

Aviator is based on the Explorer, the Nautilus is the old MKX based on the Edge which is also more or less just a jacked up Fusion

Should be some good used explorer sports hitting the market. That ST price point pushes into range of some very competitive options.

Mid $50s for a mid size SUV is not logical or rational.

But, it is ridiculous.

Agree itís ridiculous, but thatís the market. What cheaper option is there for a 400hp RWD based AWD SUV?

I donít know if the ST will depreciate like a rock. The Explorer Sport depreciation hasnít been worse than other vehicles.

The market is absurd

285 hp, 350 hp, 400 hp, etc. doesnít justify ridiculous pricing

2 - 3 yrs old Explorer Sports w/ 40k miles range are selling for 50% - 60% of original MSRP at dealerships. The owners received even less value on trade.

Hence, depreciates like a rock.
