So...uhhhh.....3.0L at 400HP.

The 3.5 is the most logical choice as it's Ford's newest and most powerful EB motor.

I don't believe the RWD packaging either.

Not going to play some weird technicality game you come up with, where Lincoln adds 10hp or something and then you weasel your way out of a bet.

Simple as this; Explorer gets 3.0L TT V6 at 400hp.

I'd say $60K+ MSRP

So basically a Durango SRT with 75 less horsepower that sounds like trash

I should have bet you....I would have won! The aviator makes 600 ft/lbs of torque.

I will still stand by my comment that this is a stupid decision by Ford. The 3.0TT should have stayed a Lincoln exclusive.

Current Platinum Exploder is sitting at $54K in top trim. ST adds $4Kish to top trim in the Edge, so reason would be that the Exploder would follow similar in fashion

can you compare platinum to st tho? Don't the platinum models generally have "luxury" features that the sportier models won't have? I don't know honestly, i haven't looked at new cars in a while.

Waiting for the quote where I said Explorer ST would have the Aviator engine. But you can see in several posts in this thread, I said I'd bet the Explorer got the 3.0L at 400hp.

Also...stupid decision? Like more than 1% of Lincoln buyers know if the 3.0TT is exclusive to Lincoln or not? Further...like any care?

I guess the ST is comparable to the Titanium trim in terms of luxury features, maybe not the Platinum trim

ST still adds a few grand over the Titanium trim in the Edge and the ST is the top trim. Platinum adds almost $8K over the sport in the Explorer.

I guess it remains to be seen if the ST will be the top trim line or will the Platinum?

Yes, Platinum in the 2019 has a noticeably nicer interior than the Sport. You get leather covered dash and doors, nicer seats, and a nicer gauge cluster.

It will not start at or over $60k...and thinking so is flat out nuts. Really...on no planet would it even be realistic. Its that nuts. And I'm willing to back that statement with a cash wager!

God it looks bad ass! I tried to upgrade the Escape for a Explorer and the dealership wanted 5 grand down and up my payments to around $600 a month.

When I asked a guy what the hell how do all these people afford explorers then he told me they take $800/$900 car payments and are shocked that it's not higher.....

Crazy

Da fuck! My Explorer Sport was bought new and I tacked on a 100k bumper to bumper warranty and my payment is nowhere near $800.
