I dont believe for a second that Toyota is in touch with the consumer so I'm betting those arent far off. Consider, also, that they likely need to price it close to BMW and there ya go.

Well then, that's way too much money for that car, sooooo that would suck

BMW engine, but it's still a toyota and still "only" 335hp. They'd have to be incredibly out of touch to price it with the 650hp zl1 or 520hp gt350

This article doesn't have a date, but C&D was thinking a starting price of around $40k. That makes more sense

I would be shocked if the car came w/ far less power than the BMW variant. Sounds like Toyota is still tinkering w/ the ecu so I expect power output to increase.

Even ~420hp wouldn't be enough to justify a $60k+ price tag. The domestics have already done much more for the same price, and not just in terms of HP and 1/4 mile times

A BMW price premium I understand, toyota premium i do not. Let's hope they come out with something reasonable. Even the lexus RCF is $65k and it's 470hp. And it's a lexus, not a toyota. No way they price this thing the same as its higher-end, faster counterpart

I bet the turbo i6 comes in at around $50k, $55k max optioned out

Who do you picture the "buyers" of a $60k ~400hp toyota being? Even the most die hard supra enthusiasts would have a hard time with that price IMO. These would be car guys that know how far that money can go.

I hate to make a dumb point but the 2JZ was considered fucking bullet proof at ignorant power levels. I mean it may just be shit talk but BMW engines don't really have that rep.

If the V6 is the Same type of strength as the previous Gen..... this MIGHT be worth the price. If the car is close to maxed with what it comes out with I fear this will be a total flop.

As Mook said I donít think they have any clue what their customer base wants. They are just piggy backing on the Supra name and hoping to make tons of sales because of it.

The buyers will justify the price by saying that a cheap tune will boost the hp past cars costing the same amount. Get ready to hear the word "stock" once the 1/4 mile numbers start coming out @radioguy6

as long as the thing will hold some power on the stock bottom end im sure it will be a cool car, no performance car guy is going to leave it at stock power anyway, give it a bullet proof drivetrain and the ability to make double the stock power boom you have a winner
