impossible! you sure you didnt take this outside of a hair salon? that can't be at a track, there isnt a mustang in sight.

passed some and got passed by some. driver matters more than car up to a point. your average chucklehead in a ferrari won't lap faster than a seasoned guy in a miata.

Subaru could have done so much more with this car but haven't. I think these look pretty cool tbh but lack in what makes a Subaru interesting.

Piston rings don't explode under slightly more than normal usage.

I don't think most people do.

However, when I was looking at my ST, I did look at the BRZ because they were in the same price range, and both sporty type cars.

The BRS however being a 2dr didn't fit with daily life. And the ST being a hatch with 4 doors was much for daily friendly for me.

i have had a couple track friends blow motors. one had a jackson racing supercharger kit. the other was n/a tuned out with 93.

i run e85 and just switched to a new tune (old was 2 years old) - did the track day (felt slow) and came home to find my slows were not just my rust, but the car was reading 0% ethanol in the e85. my oil wasn't hotter than normal but my cat1 temps were and i can't tell if these new whiskers on my header ceramic are from this or not. but basically i spent a good 70+ minutes at mostly full throttle with the car not knowing what kind of gas in it.

i hope all that happened was it was warmer and slower than usual and i didn't do any damage. people more knowledgeable than i think i'm probably ok so i'll roll with that for now. in the mean time sent in the flex fuel sensor and brain box to tuner to check things out.

i thought my buddy might do this but his was replaced under warranty (pretty quickly too) - not sure about the supercharged guy last year he doesn't social media a lot.

i'm not sure what i would do, i think a couple guys are doing some honda motors in there. i like the idea of the ls but the car with 400 hp would be an awful lot to handle around a road course. 2735/400 = 6.8375 which would probably mean going right into a wall. and a new challenge in how much tire to fit in this thing. i bet the engine would be reliable af though.

Do a 5.3L swap and cam it to the moon so there is no low end torque.

Or do a 4.8L swap and rev it out to 9000rpm+ with that 3" stroke.

When I first started racing the Cobra, it had probably around 475 crank HP and yes it was a handful. When you're making that kind of power, shit happens very fast so you really need to focus and be on your game. I suppose there is a point with horsepower where too much could mean making your track experience a chore rather than fun.

Of course, you don't HAVE to use all that power, but it's really hard not to when you're in the heat of racing.

I remember when I had an instructor in the car, he made the comment "Jesus Christ this car makes a lot of power!".

any time i tell myself i'll practice something, the red mist sets in and i just go into bad habits practice mode and try to chase something down. hopefully someone i can learn from. who could restrain themselves from using dat power??

certainly it's easier to approach a turn and learn it and try to avoid a mistake at 100 than 135. i think it's way harder for someone new to get out there with 500 hp and go for it cuz your limits are so high but your skillset has probably not yet grown into them.

Man, that's a lot of wing for a car that isn't a lot of car. There's going to be tons of hatred when that car comes out.

Yes, because a 200hp car needs a huge wing....for stability.

Will that wing create enough downforce to put this car in the 16 second quarter mile time zone?

I do know and see in person that s2000's with wings are quite a bit faster than s2000's without wings. It does has 40 more hp and I know that is quite a bit more power, but the aero really does make them quite a bit better. I for one am not about to put that shit on my car, I don't give a single F-U-C-K how much faster it'll make it But that's just me.

As unsightly as those spoilers are, they do serve a purpose guys, they help identify the biggest douchebag on the road. The bigger the spoiler, the bigger the douche.
