here's the thing. recalls and new built cars have had things go wrong with them foreever and always.

but now that everyone is so sue happy, and social media spreads garbage quicker than it can really be news, manufacturers are quicker to jump on shit and more open about it

It happens all the time on mass produced products. During that time period there could have been a supplier issue, tooling issue, or process issue that created a narrow window of potentially faulty suspension parts.

Often times there are re-works on new products that the end customer or even the dealer have no idea about. If an issue is caught early enough, technicians will be making repairs as vehicles are shipping to dealer lots.
