Infiniti Q60 - Exclusive Live Shots

If there's one thing that Infiniti really knows how to do, it's how to make a damn good looking coupe. The G35 coupe was a lesson to all other manufacturers on how to successfully turn a mundane sedan into a sleek and attractive coupe. It made a boring sedan into a car that would actually make you stop and do a double take. I loved the G35.

But the recent goings on at Infiniti, such as the total abandonment of the Q50 Eau Rouge high-performance sedan, were a bit of a shot in the gut. This was about to be a brand with a performance flagship and then it was suddenly snuffed out and no more.

Thankfully, there is still a flicker of performance as evidenced by the gorgeous Q60 coupe.

Under the hood is the choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter turbo-charged four and Infiniti's brand-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, the same engines as the Q50. The 2.0 makes 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The V6 makes 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft in its standard tune, and 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet in the highest output model. These engines are all linked to a seven-speed automatic gearbox, there is no mention of a manual yet, though the G coupe always had a manual.

Sure looks like that RC350 ESPECIALLY in that metallic lava orange or whatever color. Lexus offers the RC in orange too.

Sooooo basically a lexus with a old VQ in it?

LAME!

Even if the twin turbo engine is 400 hp still not impressed.

Agree 100% with 02BlueGT

Ohhhhhh now I get it. Infiniti badges used to represent engine size. G35 G37 now they represent price tag......

Q50? Ohh that'll be 50K and you want a Q60 too? Better pony up for that extra 10k for the TT engine so that Q60 is yup you guessed it $60,000

Fuck this mess.

Edit. Nissan should slap an Infiniti badge on the GTR and call it the Q101  MSRP starting at...... wait for it...... YUP $101,000

Looks really good. The VQ engine is no more.... Sure they had 300HP in 2003 but had terrible MPGs with today's standards.

Who cares if the base model is only 300HP, that's why they offer the 400HP TT. I'm excited to see the aftermarket for this engine.

And just give it 3 or so years and these will be $25-30K.
