Infiniti Q60 - Exclusive Live Shots
If there's one thing that Infiniti really knows how to do, it's how to make a damn good looking coupe. The G35 coupe was a lesson to all other manufacturers on how to successfully turn a mundane sedan into a sleek and attractive coupe. It made a boring sedan into a car that would actually make you stop and do a double take. I loved the G35.
But the recent goings on at Infiniti, such as the total abandonment of the Q50 Eau Rouge high-performance sedan, were a bit of a shot in the gut. This was about to be a brand with a performance flagship and then it was suddenly snuffed out and no more.
Thankfully, there is still a flicker of performance as evidenced by the gorgeous Q60 coupe.
Under the hood is the choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter turbo-charged four and Infiniti's brand-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, the same engines as the Q50. The 2.0 makes 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The V6 makes 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft in its standard tune, and 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet in the highest output model. These engines are all linked to a seven-speed automatic gearbox, there is no mention of a manual yet, though the G coupe always had a manual.
