Sixteen-time NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car champion John Force will be swapping the traditional blue of his Peak Antifreeze & Coolant Camaro SS Funny Car for a one-race look with EiKO Lighting at this weekend’s NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas.

EiKO is a manufacturer and distributor of first-class automotive lighting products, which was recently acquired by Old World Industries LLC. Force’s Chevrolet will also feature Old World Industries products, Peak Antifreeze & Coolant, BlueDEF, Final Charge Heavy-Duty Coolant, and Herculiner Bed Liner products in addition to the traditional John Force Racing partners Auto Club, Chevrolet, Traxxas, Monster Energy, and Mac Tools.

“I am excited to be running the EiKO Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We have been partners with Peak and Old World Industries for over two seasons, and we are trying to give some of their other brands more exposure. This will be a big weekend for us as we try and stay in the hunt for the Funny Car championship. I have great partners, and I want to continue to bring new business into the NHRA. We have a great product, and I am looking forward to getting some round-wins in this EiKO Funny Car,” said Force, who sits No. 6 in the Mello Yello point standings with two races remaining.

The EiKO Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car will also be on display at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas. Force will close out the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season in the traditional blue Peak Antifreeze & Coolant Chevy Camaro at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in November.

“Old World/Peak is excited to further leverage our successful partnership with John Force Racing to help announce the addition of EiKO automotive lighting to our strong family of brands” said Peak CMO Bryan Emrich. “This weekend’s race is a perfect opportunity to help announce our latest acquisition as our industry kicks off to a very important week with both the AAPEX and SEMA shows in Las Vegas. It’s just another example of how Old World/Peak brings our brands to the forefront for our customers and consumers.”

EiKO has participated in the automotive aftermarket segment since 1991, with products including halogen headlamp capsules, HID headlights, miniature lamps, sealed beam sand, and other automotive lighting, while providing full breadth vehicle coverage across all product categories. EiKO products are currently distributed at major automotive retailers, including O'Reilly Auto Parts, NAPA, and AutoZone.

Why does this matter? My Dad has worked for Eiko for as long as I can remember... > 30 years. So I think this is cool.
