Final EPA fuel-economy estimates for the CTS-V are pending, but Cadillac tells us it fully expects the super-sedan to avoid the gas-guzzler tax. BMW M5 and Benz E63 AMG owners aren't so lucky.

I don't think they care how many they sell. The high end performance variations sell the lower end models. So the V is going to move standard CTS's too, probably a lot of V-Sports as well. And if you price it too low it's going to de-value the other models.

I bet the V-Sport is the bread and butter and the V is just a "Hey look what we can do".

M5's sell 535 M-Sports no doubt.
