Those lights are totally awesome. Automatic brights, exclusion of light at oncoming vehicles while still keeping the brights, ID of hazards. Definitely the future.

It's not the future. It's now. Any current BMW with LED headlights includes 95% of what you saw in that video, including the auto-high beams, exclusionary lighting to block out cars, predictive lighting to change angle according to GPS, etc. It's just coded out at the dealer because it's illegal in the US. So the only new tech you saw in that video is the OLED tail lights and the laser headlights.

Buy a 2014 or 2015 BMW with LED headlights or Xenons with automatic high beams and these features are just a short coding session away. All you need to do is disable the feature bypass that US dealers code in.

it'd be 10 years before nhtsa would change the rules to allow lasers.

just dont park on a hill near an airport, youll get charged with a federal crime for blinding pilots with lasers
