Ford is rumored to be reviving the GT350 name for a sub-GT500 SVT Mustang and, it seems, the true detectives over at Mustang6G.com have used Ford's own online parts guide to discover what they believe is a reference to the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine codenamed "Voodoo." Time is a flat crank.

Actually, I should be careful as there's no evidence right now that this new engine is anything but a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 bored out to 5.2 liters. There have been rumors of a V8 with a flat plane crank for the Mustang but there's no proof Ford is doing this.

All we have now is a mention of a 5.2-liter V8 with some SVT parts and the full description as: 5.2L-TIVCT PFI NA HP1 Gas.

Let's break that down: 5.2L (5.2-liter), TIVCT (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing) PFI (Port Fuel Injected) NA (Naturally Aspirated) HP1 (Not sure, high performance package 1?) Gas (Gas).

It's Labor Day so we'll see how long it takes for Ford to confirm, deny, or pull down these pages. For all we know it's just a minor error.

:nice:
