Earlier, AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers caught the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V testing near the Nürburgring and now we have photos of the sedan in action, with smoking tires and glowing brake rotors. By the looks of the spy photos, the next-generation CTS-V will borrow plenty of cues from the Corvette, sporting large brake calipers, two-piece rotors, high-performance wheels, wide rear tires and a quad-tip exhaust setup.

While early speculation hinted that the Cadillac CTS-V would be powered by a supercharged V8 from the Corvette Z06, it is now more likely that the American automaker will opt for a twin-turbo V8 setup to compete with the BMW M3s of the world. The use of a twin-turbo engine will also help differentiate the CTS-V from the Corvette, making it more than just a Cadillac sedan with a Corvette powertrain.

The real question is: how much faster is this new car around the Nurburgring than the old one?

The previous model in V trim isn't too bad the problem is every trim under it looks kinda cheap compared to its rivals. Some of that cost cutting is what turns people off from the brand. This new Cts may not make everyone happy but there's a level of refinement that matches its class a lot better. Once they V this thing out its going to be a game changer.

well the ats has the 2.0l turbo which can be modded up nicely. then ATS V-Sport which is a twin turbo v-6 putting out 410 or so hp. then the ATS-V? man.. I dunno. its a little car and with that huge engine its going to kill.

The new cts-V looks like it shall kill all as well. About time that Cadillac got into the turbo game.
And god I hope it drives the prices of the 2009-2014 cts-v price down.
