TORRANCE, California — Nissan said prices on its redesigned 2009 370Z will range from $30,625 for the base coupe with six-speed manual gearbox to $36,455 for the top-of-the-line 370Z Touring with new seven-speed automatic. Prices include a $695 shipping charge.

The standard 370Z with seven-speed automatic lists for $31,925, while the 370Z Touring with six-speed manual is $35,155. In comparison, the 2008 350Z Coupe started at $29,205, while the 350Z Touring was $34,035.

Factory-installed options initially are limited to a hard-drive-based navigation system with iPod interface (only on the Touring) for $1,850; a Sport Package for $3,000; and a Chicane Yellow paint scheme for $500. In addition, Nissan dealers are offering such port-installed accessories as an aero package for $650 and painted splash guards for $220.

The Sport Package bundles 19-inch Rays forged wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires, front and rear spoilers, larger brakes, viscous limited-slip differential and, on manual-transmission models only, a feature called SynchroRev Match.

Inside Line says: In a declining market, we'll see how long Nissan dealers will be able to charge full sticker before resorting to discounts and other incentives.
