Ehh, I have an NOS Valco 6 x 9 instrument speaker from the early 60's. I'd like to make a cab for it to get some different tones.

If it turns out nice, I want to make a twin 6" cab...maybe even 8".

I got an old RCA console stereo yesterday to part out. The wood they used in those things is too good to waste. After I tore it down I wanted to build some cabs with the panels...they just don't use wood that good anymore. This thing was built like a tank too. All the joints were finger joints, with stiifening blocks, then screwed together. I shit you not...there must have been 300+ screws in this thing!

The record player can be made into a stand-alone, so I'm going to build a base for it and have a nice unit to play my vinyl.

My girlfriend's dad uses a homemade router table with lots of success, he even made it so the router was easily removable, that way he can use it loose if need be, you don't need much, to make a portable router into a table router; just four legs, and a solid enough table to drill a hole in for the router to stick through.... a router support setup should be easy.... I'd suggest some amount of adjustment to be built into the legs though, cause you will want your router table pretty level
