You are looking at the ultimate sleeper like no other. It started life as a black california car (was there until 2 months ago). It was stripped and repainted regal red base clear. No body panels replaced nice clean car. The car was painted apart then reassembled.

Drivetrain 2000 trans am 40000 miles
aftermarket throttle body
aftermarket long tube headers
custom pcm tune
trans was upgraded shift forks, slides and syncros.
clutch and slave cylinder are new
rear end is 10 bolt posi

Front suspension
It has a tube front with QA1 coil overs
10.5 disc brakes
power rack
complete front was POWDER COATED

The car has all new weather strip, rechromed bumpers, interior(except door panels and door handles they are originals that are not reproduced) The car has original tail light housings, head light bezels, and grill(the after market parts fit like crap). It has new windshield and all other glass is original. The car has all new alluminized exhaust that has been tig welded(so it looks nice and smooth on all joints) The car runs an external fuel pump and filter that are mounted under the trunk area. I had the inside floor pan coated with lizard skin and the complete bottom of the car coated with VORTEC sound deadner. The car makes 375 hp and gets 28 mpg!!! This is the new age L79. This car has just been completed and is ready for the new owner. Car was built professionally and is done correct. Pics speak for themselves. Look at my feedback this car was built by ME, and I pride myself on my work. I can get this car shipped for 750 in the cont US 1200 enclosed (maybe cheaper depending on your location)

I was at Midwest Hot Rods in Plainfield this weekend and there was a customer's 1967 Chevy II that was solid but nothing pretty. Paint was fading, interior was torn up but overall still a straight, stock car. I wanted it soooooo badly. Would do an LS2 w/ T56 swap, modern brakes and suspension but keep the faded look.

get 30 mpg... and run 11s... and not have to worry about the trans... and have the thing not be just another sbc or bbc powered chevy II

that is exxxxxxxxxxactly why i want it. cuz to most people its "ugly" to me... its sexy as all hell.

You guys obviously have no clue how strong the old GM 8.5 ten bolts are. Cars go into the nines reapeatably on them.

thats kinda what i was thinkin...

2k TA drivetrain...I don't know a single LS1 F-bod person on me who DIDN'T break a 10 bolt on a mild setup. One dude put more than the cost of a legit rear end into beefing up the 10 bolt, and it still broke constantly.

You're not going to convince me that's a wise driveline choice on any car making any power, or running any decent tire.

Again I say you have no clue, That is a GM 8.5 ten bolt pictured for the rear end of the car in the auction. If you cannot even identify what the hell your looking at, then dont comment. Just because ls1 f bodys came with the weak 7.5" ten bolts does not mean all rear ends that happen to use 10 bolts to hold the ring gear in place are weak. The 8.5 ten bolts are plenty strong. I personally have gone low tens on a bone stock 8.5 ten bolt in a 1979 camaro. That car has a 8.5 ten bolt in it for a rear end. which will not break at the power that car makes. Once he is over 650 hp, on a full slick, then he should start to worry.

thats the reason i bought my pacer, sure its ugly as fuck to most ppl, but guess what, thats the reason it stands out, and once i get a worthy trans in it, it will surprise the hell out of quite a few ppl, i couldve bought a camaro, but the looks i get from ppl when they see car r the best, theyre even better when they here it

Exactly. 8.5s are good. 8.2s and 7.5 ten bolts not so much....

Nope, I sure as shit can't tell the difference to look at them.

If I was selling a car with a 2000 T/A drivetrain, I would be advertising a car that has, from the engine to the hubs, components from a 200 Trans Am. If I was selling something with parts from a TA and a rearend from something else, I'm not going to advertise it as a 2k TA drivetrain.

Glad to hear it's got a rearend that isn't a pile of shit, it's a clean car, but not something I'd willingly purchase or drive.
