Anyone have any experiences or know anyone else that have had any experiences with the Liberty CRD? I've been looking around, and they seem like they are a good deal. Good towing capacity, good gas mileage (around 30ish when chipped), and generally jeep quality (is that good or bad?) Definitely don't have the money to go with something a ton more expensive.

My old roommate has one. Don't put bigger tires/wheels on it. The steering rack will straight up break off, and you have to pull the whole damn thing to pieces to get a new one in and out. Past that, they have some balls for what they are. He's had some issues with the tensioner for the serpentine, but that's probably his fault. He replaced it, and he's like a bull in a china shop. Everything he touches breaks.

Knowing Primalzer, bigger tires isn't going to be an option. He'll probably just do a tune, maybe intake and hard pipes to free everything up. Nothing extreme.

I guess it's a little VNT. It's a teeny little compressor though. I've been trying to convince my buddy he needs something huge in there, but I guess the torque convertors have a tendency to blow up when you put more power to em.

They don't do too hot on the highway, but that really isn't a problem. It's not supposed to be a hot rod. Fucking stump puller she be.

I'll probably end up retro fitting this onto it, sometime down the line...
