The 6262 is basically a replacement for the 61. It's what precision offered me as a direct replacement for a warranty on mine, but they were able to fix it so I didn't get it. Make sure you get the correct exhaust A/R or it'll spool slower than piss. The pt61 was by far the fastest spooling turbo i've ever experienced. All around it is perfect for a 3800. So hopefully the 6262 can live up to it's name, and them some.

After feeling the difference in the two, especially with current power limits (due to current available transmissions) I wouldn't go over 70. No reason to bolt on a 600whp capable turbo, with a larger exhaust housing (for the bigger hp numbers) when you're not going to use it.

Actually I change my stance... a T3 with a .7 a/r on a smaller 62 should spool just as fast if not faster than a T4 .6 pt61, hell the 6262 is also ball bearing

where is dennis on this, he gets paid to figure this stuff out at work

I guess after thinking about what I have, T70 turbo T3 flange .82 a/r and it spools just about right

T3 .70 is pretty small. certainly doable. gonna have high backpressure.

If it isn't an oncenter housing, you would need a whole new downpipe.

The 6262 is a much better turbo. GN guys push these to 600 whp+ maybe even 700+

basically that is a 12-$1300 turbo that you could get by trading your PT61 for... so think about that. The fab work would be a bitch.

Yeah I'm going to check it out and see what the differences are. I'm most likely going to end up keeping the pt61, because it is for the kit. 6262 sure does look like a nice turbo though.
