Knock sensor "bank two"

Not getting any reading from it and it's throwing a CEL... how hard are these to do? What's involved in the r&r? TIA..going to be picking one up tomorrow, it's the last problem I will have to deal with for a while.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE







CAUTION: Hot engine coolant may cause severe burns. Although the cooling system has been drained, coolant still remains in the engine water jacket. This coolant will drain with the removal of the knock sensor








1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
3.Remove the splash shield.
4.Drain the cooling system. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.







5.Remove the knock sensor heat shield mounting bolt located under the freeze plug (or block heater if equipped).
6.Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness connector from the knock sensor.
7.Remove the knock sensor from the engine block.






INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Do Not apply thread sealant to sensor threads. The sensor is coated at factory and applying additional sealant will affect the sensor 5 ability to detect detonation.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.


1.Install the knock sensor into the engine block.





Tighten


Tighten the knock sensor to 19 N.m (14 lb ft).


2.Install the knock sensor heat shield mounting bolt located under the freeze plug (or block heater if equipped).
3.Connect the knock sensor wiring harness connector to the knock sensor.
4.Install the splash shield.
5.Lower the vehicle.
6.Fill the cooling system. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
7.Reconnect the negative battery cable.

I'd recommend checking the wiring harness and connector first (burn through, corrosion, etc.)

bought the sensor and wiring, got it in the air at a buddy's shop. turned out to be the wiring. swapped wiring, returned sensor. dude said dont even worry about the wiring. $20 back in my pocket that way.
