looking at a 2000 GTP

I'm gonna be checkin out a 00 GTP with 134k miles this weekend, what should i be looking for? what most commonly goes out on these? Any weird quirks with the year? It's all stock from looking at the pics

Damn that's clean. Being in Texas you shouldn't have to worry about the rockers or rear strut area being rusted.

My only problems with my 00 was the heads up display would dim and sometimes the key would stick in the ignition. Other then making sure the trans shifts well and doesn't have burnt fluid id say it looks great

Looks clean man, I'd say since it's a southern car just run a carfax and check for the normal stuff you would check for on any car.

otherwise check for leaking valve covers, oil pan, and the coolant elbows that run between the intake manifold/alt bracket,water pump

looks pretty clean though, at least has new struts/springs in the rear

always look at the area behind the injectors on the lower intake manifold to check for goop from the lower intake gaskets. this could indicate leaking lowers and could possibly lead to engine damage.
