AC compressor issue

I'm having an ongoing issue with my AC. When it's working, it blows cold from all vents. However, the compressor doesn't always come on when the A/C button is pressed. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't really found a pattern to it. One time, it kicked on when I revved the engine briefly while in park. I also notice that if I accelerate briskly as if I'm passing someone the compressor kicks off ( I think it's supposed to in order to give all available power to pass) but won't come back on.

I just put 12 oz of R134a in @ 2weeks ago as I was getting higher temps out of the driver side vents than the passenger vents. I was informed (on this board) this can be due to low refrigerant levels and it looks like that was the case as, like I said above, my temps are consistent from all vents, now. But my inconsistent compressor engagement is puzzling. Any ideas?

It's possible it is overfilled....

check the abs clutch fuse make sure its properly seated i had this problem for awhile and it was actually that the fuse was loose the clips that hold it were loose.

I checked the fuse. It's in there real tight.
