So the past few days my a/c has just stopped working, the clutch doesnt kick on. The fuse seems to be ok, but it doesnt seem like relay clicks when i try to turn it on. I have switched the relay with a working one and still doesnt click. Any ideas?

whats system pressure at vs ambient temp?

your prob low on r134a

Im not sure of the pressure, But being low would cause it not to turn on?

Also what would be the best way to check that?

if system pressure is too low or too high the h/l press switch will tell the bcm and it will disable the ac to prevent damage

get a set of gauges and hook em up to the test ports, you can get one of them cheapo r134a refill kits and they have a gauge but it will only tell you low side pressure which since your compressor isnt turning on will be the relaxed system pressure

James, is there a way to pull HVAC/BCM codes on a 97riv? I've no a/c either but my compressor runs. None of my 5 actuators work (If I pull the actuators off and manually move the blend doors, I get cold air)... like it's stuck on failsafe or something.

yes but youll need a full bore scantool
my snapon red brick will pull codes but most cheapo obd2 readers wont

check your HVAC fuses

Yup, you were right, the o-ring from the line to the evaporator was cracked, thanks man

no problem....might not be a bad idea to replace all of em while its discharged so you dont end up having to fix it down the road
