How can I fix this heated seat issue other than fuse? Seat stays on when car is off.

I posted a week or two ago about my issue with my GP. Out of no where, my battery was dead one morning. After trial and error, I linked the problem to the heated seat. It was still warming (and actually got very hot) even though the car was off and the keys were not in the ignition. It will only happen when the heated seat button is on Low or High. If it is in the center (off) than there is no problem.

Today I pulled the fuse and the heated seat (as well as lumber support on driver seat fuggin GM) now does not function. So im in the clear to prevent this problem, but soon enough I will want the feature back. There has been no liquid spilled on the on/off switch (but maby on the side of the seat where the connects are). Where do I start looking? Thanks guys!

Just turn the switch off before you leave your car? You must have a crossed wire some where, maybe in the seat harness that is providing power to the heated seat element and draining your battery.

It sounds like you have a bad relay. I would assume there is a relay that has a hot going to it when you start the car and it is sticking on.

Sometimes i forget to turn it off or hit it accidently. And its usually left on at all times during the winter

That shouldnt be problem though. The wire coming to the switch should not be hot when the car is off. Or the main hot coming to the seat should not be hot. You need to find a wiring schematic and see what switches the power coming to the seat/switch. That is more than likely your problem.

Check the relays and source power to make sure it is hooked up correctly

Will do. I need a hot sunday to do some more trial and error. Sounds like i just need to ru. Through the whole setup and just figure out what has gone bad.

^beat me to it. New control module most likely. Sounds like the internal relay is stuck closed.
