Pinched axle boot

Rotated my tires yesterday and noticed greenish looking grease on the control arm and bottom of the strut. Cleaned all that shit up and found little hole in the axle boot (must've happened when I replaced end links and sway bar rubbed on it a month ago). Sealed the hole with silicone Question - can I drive the car like that or should I buy a new axle?

I've driving like that for a week or so. I'd say as long as it still has grease and you didn't drive in rain you should be fine.

our old dodge aries went over 40k on a compleltly torn boot...just squirted some grease into the balls/grooves with a needle fitting every oil change or so

jeeze guys its not that hard to get a boot kit and yank the outer/inner off to put it on...unless its roached bad and clicking/poping id just replace the boot.

i wish i could help ya'll out but i only have two complete axles and they go into the trunk to ward off breaking one at the track

the rest are just pieces/spare parts
