Im looking to get 2 tires that can hook nice on the street. I been looking at the hooiser r6 slick is that good for the street or what do some of you recommended for the best bite on the street

hmm id hope those things would hook with all that track prep. Im just looking for something to bite decent on the street im really thinking about getting the hoosier r6 but im not sure if that tires ment for oval tracking or straight lines

M/T, Hoosier, M&H and Goodyear all make drag radials that work real well.

The issue with hooking a car on the street is not usually the tire. It is usually poor street prep (it is a dirty public road) and chassis set up.

Put an MT Et street radial on it and have it stay relatively safe. they hook alright. I'm not sure anyone in the 3800 FWD world does much for chassis setup pratt

I ran nitto 555rs all summer last year. not a whole lot good about them. they did ok in light snow.

555rs are good if u want a BIT extra grip and decent daily duty. do ET streets come in a 17? my current tires are having some issues w/ this new setup. they work but i wouldnt mind something a bit stickier.

I think the problem you will find is most of them start with a 275. The M&H 275 is narrower than the BFG, GoodYear and M/T though. So on a stock rim I am not sure what you could get away with. Even the BFG go from a 225 to a 275 for a 17" rim.
