I am gonna do fbody calipers but undecided on what rotors or which ones to buy. Do I buy for a grand prix or an fbody? Stupid question I know..but I know it needs to be a 12inch rotor. Any help is good !!

Get Centric rotors for an Impala or monte from rock auto, the fbodys wont fit because of the different bolt pattern.

Just buy front rotors from a 98-02 Fbody. Don't cheap out like I did and buy expensive hawk pads and cheap AZ rotors. Mine are fucked less then a year later.

Get brembo or napa blanks. Don't get that drilled ricer shit.

Also the bolt pattern is close enough for a rotor. Either will work

Fbody rotors fit because of the larger holes for the studs. 98-02 Fbody or the 12" Impala or Monte rotors work fine. Centric Premiums are the way to go too.

If you cross reference, at least in the past it used to be the f-body part # and 12" monte carlo ones should be the same p/n

Get some centrics and call it a day... paint the f-body calipers before you put em on danny boy

I was fairly certain I bought napa premium blanks for an f-body and hawk hps pads when I did mine

I have heard blanks and good ceramics are the way to go. Had some napa blanks and some high dollar ceramic pads that have lasted for a couple years no problem maybe even up to 5 years now on a DD. Only reason I am changing them now is b/c they are so damn old and my car has sat for a minute. I did a lot of heavy brakeing in my car, never had to mess with pads or rotors. They are actually still in good shape.

drilled/slotted rotors are nice to look at, but I have just heard a lot of problems from them.

Ive got ebay (r1concept) drilled/slotted rotors on my GP. Thy were great when I first got them but after a year or so they really begin to suck. The brakes on my car suck pretty bad now (almost two years later). Like everyone else, I wouldn't recommend them.
