want an intercooler, any advice

I'm going to be doing the LIM gaskets on my '02 Regal GS real soon. I'm been considering an intercooler for some time. Figure while I have the supercharger off, might as well do it now.

I've read the threads here about turbocharging - that's not practical for me with this car. I think an IC is just what I am looking for.

I'm about a day or two away from ordering a "kit". Anybody order one recently and were you happy with it? Any last minute advice?

Id buy headers before a IC...

If i could do it again, i would get an i/c as my first mod and build everything around it. It's the #1 thing you can do to a supercharged 3800,

You know that one day where the air is dry, and it's cool out (like 40ish) and the car just screams? That how an IC'd car feels all the time...even in the heat of summer. Best mod for a sc'd 3800 as said before.

Nothing beats an intercooler. They should have come with them stock and I bet if GM could have made a transmission to handle the power reliably at the time they would have come intercooled.

I'd get headers at the same time... taking off the SC is not a super difficult job, only like 8 bolts and pulling the fuel rails.

Maybe I should intercool my junk.

Thanks, anything would help. I doesn't look to bad, but I have never even seen one installed, so I have no idea where the pump goes and exactly how the front mount is installed.

Like I said above, I have done the LIM gasket on my other car, so the top of the engine is familiar. Does something need to be down to the lower intake for the PCV?

You and mad mike should get turbo kits... we'll have more turbo cars than MI
