It's been my experience that most people that had run 3.69s is that they wish they had only done 3.29's.

Depends on your build though. If you put in a big cam that develops power at the upper rpms, then they might work for you. Generally 3.29's are a better all around choice.

Im on mod 1.9 rockers. I just picked up a intercooler and was think about changing the gears too while the car is down. what do you think the car would pick up in the quarter by changing the gearing? I know on my bike the difference is huge.

Yeah, it's a 3800 the gains will be marginal at best

And just to make sure you know, but you'll need a tuner to change the gear ratio in the computer. I would get 3.29's if i were you, but 2.93's go a long way. Perfect gear ratio for the average 1.9 car trapping in the 100-105mph area which is probably right where you'll be.

Just read you have an I/c. The average ic'd rocker car will do 105-107mph trap speeds. A 3.29 gear set would be nice, but you probably won't gain anything ET wise.

I'm sure there will be something, but all in all, it's still a rocker'd 3800. Powerband is 3500-5000 stock gearing FTW.

Yeah, where is HK? he was running an IC/rocker car. he seemed to enjoy the feel of it just driving around town. I think it could be fun for that factor.

Ok, i told you that's about what it would trap. Now expect 107-ish. Stick with the stock gearing.

Put in the 3.29's, and put a L36 timing chain and gears. The 2 degree retard will give you another 500rpm on top to make more power, and drop a little Tq on the bottom which will help with launches.

What is your mod list?

I was IC with 3.69s and yea, I have a set of 3.69 gears that we could sell you for a good price, out of my current built trans that I have FS

I did a 13.2 @ 105 with a 2.0 60' on street tires and getting KR past 80... your ET will drop but your trap will too.. 3.69s might get you .2 better ET but cost you 2mph traps

my run was pretty good, mad that I never got a good tune and then really tried for 12s with a 3.2 pulley and 1.8 SLP RRs
