01 monte carlo track bar

Rear suspension.. adjustable track bar. comes from the hub to the frame. got the bolt loose attatched to the frame and the bolt wont come out, its hitting the spare tire well.. like it was put in backwards or something? am i missing something here? any help appreciated

thats how they all are, drop the rear subframe

more than a few times ive seen where someone used a holesaw to cut a hole through the well and just inserted a plastic bodyplug

not good to prevent future rust but who cares

haha ok fuck. gonna sawzall it off i think and reverse the bolt. eff dropping the subframe.

weird.. alldata mentions nothing of obstruction or dropping subframe, some bullshit

use a holesaw in the spare tire well caus ethen you can find the plastic bodyplugs at any junkyard

dropping the sumbframe is pretty easy, you dont have to remove it all the way fyi

of course alldata doesnt mention it, that would be too easy, thats why the good techs get paid by the book hour and find the fast ways of doin shit

will un-doing just half the sub frame give me enough room to wiggle the bolt out?

uh yeah but your gonna be removing the two rear bolts and the front one's removed most of the way.

finished this up last night.. wasnt that bad gettin the subframe down i dunno why i ignored the option, just sounds like no fun. impact made quick work of it. for James. guy is a 3800 encyclopedia!
