Im in the process of purchasing 3800 Heads, XP cam, Wbodystore Fuel logs, 42.5 Injectors from another member.

When I went to take a look at the parts, I noticed slight damage to the "middle part" of the cam. They looked like little tiny scratches and you can definitely feel them if you run your finger across them.

The parts:

XP Cam

  • It does not say "XP" on it anywhere. Is this the correct Cam?
  • Are the scratches and rubbish marks across it normal wear?

Triple Edge Perf L67 ported polished heads

  • L67 Heads
  • L32 Valves
  • Comp Cam #105
  • Comp Cam pushrods
  • ZZP mod retainers
  • Stock Rockers

1) Is this definetly an XP Cam?
2) Is it perfectly functional?
3) Do the heads look good?
4) Would you buy them?

Thanks guys

IF james says this, it's the truth, this guy will use anything. So him saying there's a smudge of a chance, means that junk is FUCKED. Besides, it's a waste to toss an xp cam on lightly ported heads. Might as well run an xpz, will make for better results. But the best results would obviously be turbo...

i can see the mold numbers in the pics

the left head the 25 is right side up and in the lower left (just to the right of the VC bolt hole) the right head is upside down so look at it's upper right

if the casting dates are near the same then your pretty much gauranteed the mold wasnt remachined or modified when each heads sand mold was pressed and assembled
