Obviously filled with fluid. Conveniently broken 2 months out of warranty. About a year old. Although Turbo Tim is nice enough to send me a new one once I send this back.

Most likely a napa "solid" mount, which are found to be more hydraulic then solid.

IIRC didnt 02bluegt do something like fill a mount with RTV or something? How did that go?

THIS^^^ Drill 4 holes, drain out the oil..... blast with Brake parts cleaner.... Fill with RTV (or polyurethane if you want) and BAM, Solid mount




PS, ZZP sells a Poly motor mount now

Window urethane is like $10 at autozone. Can be used to fill quite a few mounts.

Half my crx bushings were "refurbished" with 3m window urethane.

Yeah, I was just at NAPA for a solid mount...guy at the counter probably thought I was nuts making him go back and forth picking mounts for me to shake. Out of 3 solid boxes, only 1 didn't make noise like there was fluid inside when I shook it.

Has there been any feeback yet on the ZZP poly engine mounts? I installed a few of the poly's they made for the trans side, and the way they were constructed didn't look all that robust.

That would be a better base to start with I would think. One hole instead of 4 to drill and fill, and no worries about extra fluid or cleaning it out.

True... but worse when installed w/o modification as the air will compress and the liquid will not

Panda's car makes too much PAH for normal mounts.

I also filled mine with RTV. what a pain in the ass.

yeah hollow mounts sag real bad, none of these rubber mounts can handle the tq thats why it always seems to rip through at the ends....that middle bar is supposed to limit fore/aft movement but it does nothing, those fucekrs can move alot.

when ya get that new mount bring it over with a caulk gun tube of rtv or window urethane and ill let ya drill it/ brake clean and fill it. let it cure for a week or so, that way you have it when the hollow one sags

And this is why I made my own mounts. I was sick of changing them out all the time.

The vibes were strong with the mounts I had though...not for the faint of heart.

energy susp 1104 trans/transfercase mount, drill 4 holes 1/8th inch to 3/16ths shim/washers (depends on oe or urethane trans mount)

theirs bolts in but damn is it expensive...i found a smaller mount i want to make work on the trans side to save even more....damn near anyone can drill a few holes

The mounts are all the same. Even the "solid" mounts have a void in them for the fluid. So there is nothing to gain by having any of the "solid" mounts on the market.

yeah even if you get an oil filled its just drilling holes, draining and then brake cleaning it to fill it with rtv/urethane...the "solid" mounts ya just have to drill em and fill em
