ummmmm, car never dies (literally)

so me and smug_GTX (Dan) repinned my 97 GTP harness to 98-02
most everything works, including my fuel guage, and now the car won't turn off unless you pull the relay out... any ideas what we F'ed up?

only wires not hooked up are low reference which i'm pretty sure most of which went to EVAP crap...

Alternator diodes cause this too, right? Does anything else stay powered on (before starting it) when it shouldn't be? I'd assume the answer is yes...

When i turn off the key the electronics turn off ( radio, guages, A/C ) but the car keeps running and the marker lights are on.
then i pull the relay and put it right back in, and everything is good, untill the car is started again

yeah, i was thinking i should check that out, but i'm pretty sure it's all right...
there is a few low reference wires left, but i think they are all evap?

i'm considering buying a rolling 98-02 if i can find one... ad just swaping my stuff into it... but idk what to dooo... UGH

or just fix the wiring problem. looks like there is a circuit that isn't being broken when the key is in off position

or if you want the quick fix

wire your fuel pump, ignition and battery to a manual switch and bam, you can manually shut the car.

The 98+ computer is more up to date for tuning and shit than the 97s

it has much more advnaced programming, and the biggest pluss is that i can use my tuner on it, where technically i am not able to do that with my 97 pcm... it did work on the 97 but it was never 100% i had lots of weird things

Thanks. I learned something today. Is this along the same line as GM upfrading the LS series engines with a more percise crank sensor and hotter computer in 2006, except fo rthe GTO (cause it was dead after 2006)?
