Why pay money for the car to sound like shit? The only 3800 I would put a cutout on is a turbo. Drop the exhaust at the track.

dont get a cut-out... just drop your exhaust, save weight and much cheaper... both will sound like complete crap

correct. mook recommended it to me, and I couldnt be happier... its been on 2 years now almost iirc... and closes and opens very well still. im very okay with it.

it is placed pointing straight down at the ground from the tog downpipe- its a really sweet downpipe.

the cutout on the riv is the only way we could get any "track" tuning data while driving it onethe street...kinda hard to drop the exhaust and go tune when you have those pesky coppers around.

a cutout would at the least get you closer to a good tune, with the exhaust dropped at the track you would only need some adjustments
