rpms are going crazy

i was at a stop light last night and the rpm's started going up and down. i put the car in nuetral and the same thing happened. Bad cam sensor or something? oh its a 2002 gtp

This is what happened when My Maf sensor went bad, but a hundred things could cause an idle surge, Bad plug, bad wire, vac leak a bad sensor.... we will need more info:

I had the same issue when my MAF sensor went out.

I have exhaust 3.4 pulley and cold air. My buddy hooked his laptop up to my car and I was making 12.92 pounds of boost but said I had a vac leak somewhere. Now am I wrong but if I have a vac leak, should my car even make boost let alone that much?

Under boost there is more air flow going into the motor than can be bypassed by a small vacuum leak.

When you messed with the blower you probably missed putting a vacuum hose back on some where.

All I did was a pulley swap, haven't put another blower on yet pratt

maybe some thing was bumped off by accident?

Did you unplug the maf to see if it runs any different?

Like 02bluegt said, there are a few different things that can cause an erratic idle like that. A Chiltons manual or factory manual will give a step by step problem solving list to help you figure it out. Did you check to see if the ECU throws any codes?

No codes, ill unplug the maf at lunch maybe my lower intake gasket needs changing now lol

Mine has done this at idle since shortly after i re-oiled my filter. I really need to clean my MAF.
