another turbo related problem

installed a Z7 kit on my 97 gtp, well putting it all together and such i got down to putting the master cylinder/abs back up to the brake booster....um...it doesn't fit!!!

what needs to happen/be done for me to get this damn car running? i planned on trying to start it up tomorrow

bigger downpipe than a z7 perhaps... my z7 downpipe fits- but snug... id guess you got a bigger dp in that used? kit you got...

if so. get a monte booster...

i dont fully understand your problem tho so maybe im way wrong.

The dp fits fine but te master cynlinder doesn't, it sticks out to far. I'll take some pics in a minute

2.5 or 3inch dp? i had to do some creative work on kevy's mont/imp booster to get a higher angle on the master

arent the 97 ABS modules bigger/in a different spot? Maybe thats the issue which the OP is referring to? I could be wrong though.

Time for no more ABS/TRAC..... or swap to the newer ABS block

haha thats the old kelsey-hayes unit (the piston gears used to fall off all the time on those things) you gotta delete it as it and the newer abs unit uses a different harness.

i dont think a regular non abs master will work for ya either as there are 4 ports and the lower front is gonna fuck ya, best bet is to switch to a newer abs master with the two thread in ports and T the front lines and run the rear the same way
