need help with 97 gtp + DHP 1.5

just got a PT and found a DHP 1.5 file to get us started for a base/better tune. me and a buddy copied the 1.5 info over to his 2000 GTP and it worked flawlessly with out a problem.

we copied the same dhp 1.5 file to my 97 gtp and it sucks. it wont shift. steady cruising and it takes it all the way up to like 5700 until i let off of the gas, then it proceeds to shift. if i give it some gas it shifts fine though. i only changed the performance shit options but if fucks up with both performance shift on and off.

it also randomly dies while decelerating....

*the only difference between the two is i loaded the dhip 1.5 ALT tables and we did not on the 2000. would that make the difference?

For real though, did you per chance change the gearing? Another thing, it's a 97, i don't think you can just load any tune into those? someone with a little more experience will chime in i'm sure.

X2, I know my friend had a 98 and had same set up as me ( Ic,injectore,exhaust,ect ) and his wouldnt run right either. Sometimes it wouldnt even start. We had to wait for a retune from zzp.

97 are a different bin file....
start with a 97 bin and recopy all your changes

yeah 97 was the last of the replaceable eeprom pcm's and also used an external knock signal module like the obd1 cars used
